Project “AI-based Ice Cream Stick Quality Control System” No. 02-124-K-0220

UAB “BALTIC STICKS” is implementing the project “AI-based Ice Cream Stick Quality Control System”.

The project addresses insufficiently accurate and stable identification of defects in wooden ice cream sticks in a mass-production environment and the dependence of quality control on human factors.

During the project, a real-time artificial intelligence and computer vision solution will be developed and implemented for automated defect identification and quality control of wooden ice cream sticks. The solution will reduce the influence of human factors, decrease defective production and raw material waste, and generate structured data for production process analysis and optimisation. 

The aim of the project is to develop and implement a high-accuracy, real-time artificial intelligence (computer vision) system for automated identification of defects and quality control of wooden ice cream sticks, reducing defective production, saving raw materials and enabling data-driven optimisation of the production process.

Project duration: 13 July 2026 – 13 July 2027.

Project value: 162 333,04 EUR, of which EUR 129 866,44 is financed by the European Union.
